pdlzip software package provides data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm (simple version), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pdlzip
pdlzip is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pdlzip package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pdlzip *
You will get with pdlzip package name, version, architecture and description in a table
